A
true multi-dimensional breeding tool. Red Obsidian is a bull who's
across the board EPD's and carcass data make single trait selection
within your breeding program obsolete. His dam, without a doubt, is one
of our best cows. She is the mother of TCW High Heels 18K 309P, a
Pathfinder daughter, that is at the top of our bred replacement
females. Her 2006 bull calf, sired by Remitall Embracer 8E, is
outstanding and lends further conformation to just how good she really
is. Red Obsidian ' s grand dam and the cornerstone of our High Heels
cow family, TCW High Heels 5G, is the dam of last years Oregon and
California State Fair's Junior Bull Calf Champion. This calf was also
the Reserve Junior Bull Calf at the Nugget National Hereford Show in
Reno. We have chosen Red Obsidian as one of our herd sires for many
reasons. He is conservatively marked with a red neck, red scrotum and
red eye pigmentation. He has tremendous EPD's, carcass data and easy
fleshing ability. He is smooth shouldered, clean jointed and possesses
a correctly positioned set of feet and legs. Red Obsidian is a frame
seven- performance bull that has the phenotype, eye appeal and pedigree
so much in demand by today's beef cattle industry. We are truly excited
about Red Obsidian's future in our program and the genetic potential
that he brings to our cow herd.
